Basic information

The Marathon MM series platform offers five IR temperature sensor models designed for various applications within different industries. Each model is equipped with a specific measurement wavelength and temperature range, making them suitable for a range of processes, from low temperature plastic processing to high temperature glass and metals processing.

One of the standout features of the Marathon MM series is the Precision Variable Focus. This feature allows users to quickly, easily, and accurately adjust the focus of measurement targets. It can be done either via a push-button located at the rear of the instrument or remotely through an RS232/RS485 PC connection. Real-time adjustments can be observed through video, ensuring precise measurements.

For added flexibility, sensors with the variable focus option can be customized to meet specific application requirements, minimizing installation time and reducing the risk of incorrect installation. Additionally, all sensors in the Marathon MM series come with identical installation hardware and include the Raytek DataTemp Multidrop software. This software simplifies the installation process, enhances configuration capabilities, and enables consistent data capture across a wide range of applications.
