Description
The Raytek CM IR temperature sensor is specifically designed for continuous temperature monitoring in a wide range of manufacturing processes and OEM applications within the industrial sector. This powerful yet compact sensor utilizes infrared technology to provide the numerous advantages of non-contact temperature measurement.
The CM sensor is capable of easily replacing traditional contact probes with either a J-type or K-type thermocouple output, or with a user-scalable 0-5 volt output. This versatility allows for seamless integration into various systems and applications.
To ensure reliable and durable performance, the CM sensor is enclosed in a rugged IP 65 (NEMA-4) stainless steel housing. This protective housing enables the sensor to operate effectively in ambient temperatures of up to 70°C (160°F) without the need for additional cooling mechanisms.
Despite its small size, the CM sensor is equipped with advanced features that enhance its functionality and usability. For instance, it features an RS232 digital interface, which enables users to easily configure all programmable sensor variables using the included DataTemp® Multidrop software.
Furthermore, the CM sensor incorporates a built-in sensor health LED, which serves as a convenient online indicator of the sensor's operational status. This feature not only provides real-time feedback but also aids in troubleshooting during initial sensor setup, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
