The selection of the best emitter type for your specific application depends on several factors. In most cases, it is desirable to have an optimum match between the emitted wavelength and the absorption characteristics of the target material. This ensures efficient transfer of radiation energy into the material, resulting in rapid heating.

However, there are certain situations where deviations from the absorption characteristics are necessary. For example, when dealing with high energy densities, cyclical processes, transparent materials, thin materials, or low-conductive materials, it may be required to intentionally use emitters with characteristics that differ significantly from the absorption characteristics of the material being processed.

In many applications, such as thermoforming, all three basic emitter types – long wave ceramic emitters, medium wave quartz emitters, and short wave halogen emitters – can be successfully utilized. These emitters cater to different industrial needs and offer efficient heating solutions.
