Principle of operation
The principle of operation of RUF briquetting presses is based on cold, 2-fold hydraulic
pressing of a certain portion of material without adding binders. In the beginning, at low pressure
, the material is compacted externally due to the voids between the particles. Then the particles themselves become denser and deformed - molecular adhesion arises between them. High pressure at the end of pressing leads to the transition of elastic deformations of particles into plastic ones, as a result of which the structure of the briquette is strengthened and the given shape is maintained. The nature of deformations is strongly influenced by the properties of the starting material.
When the RUF briquette press is operating, one briquette is formed on each cycle and
simultaneous extraction of the briquette formed in the previous cycle.
