Basic information

ECOROLL single-roller tools are specially designed for roller burnishing applications in various industries. These tools are utilized to machine a wide range of complex contours and surfaces including concave fillets, grooves, cylindrical and conical outer surfaces, and bores.

The ECOROLL single-roller tools consist of series EG, EF, and FAK. The EG tools are further categorized into tool families EG5, EG14, EG45, and EG90, specializing in burnishing cylindrical outer surfaces and bores, conical bores, plane surfaces, and fillets. For deep rolling of fillets and thread root radii, EF, FAK, and FA tools are the preferred choice.

These tools are constructed with a tool body equipped with a tool shank, a spring assembly to allow the roller head movement with minimal play and friction. The standard version includes a dial indicator for indirect spring force indication. As an option, the tools can be integrated with ECOsense process monitoring for external display of the spring force. The roller head is connected to the flexible, spring-loaded part of the tool body, ensuring precision and efficiency in the burnishing process.
