Description

Europem has developed the “ring-of-fire” Flare Tip to address the challenge of burning low CV waste gases in industries. These gases are often difficult to burn or may not contain enough energy to sustain combustion. The proprietary design of the Flare Tip ensures complete oxidation of the low calorific waste gas by creating a ring of flame around the central waste gas tip.

The Flare Tip is available in both air-assisted and non-assisted flare burners. It features a high-pressure sonic gas nozzle that maximizes the entrainment of ambient air into the combustion zone, ensuring efficient and smokeless operation. A wind shield is placed around the gas nozzles to prevent flame pull down. High-grade alloys are used in the construction of the flare tip, enhancing its lifetime.

The key advantages of the Flare Tip include smokeless operation at low heat radiation, the possibility of achieving 100% smokeless turn down with air-assisted HP flares, and lower flare stack heights. Additionally, there is no requirement for any assist medium, and a low-pressure flare can be integrated with the HP sonic flare to provide both HP and LP gas flaring in a single flare tip. The Flare Tip is also suitable for the smokeless combustion of waste gas with entrained liquids.

The applications of the Flare Tip include the upstream oil & gas sector, chemical and petrochemical industries (including refineries), pipeline transport, LNG and NG terminals, and compressor stations. It offers a reliable and effective solution for the burning of low CV waste gases in these industries, ensuring complete oxidation and minimizing environmental impact.
