SMI Handling Systeme is an established medium-sized family business with over 35 years of expertise in the distribution of vacuum lifters and handling equipment. Our headquarters are located in Wetter (Ruhr), North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Within our facilities, we currently employ a dedicated team of 22 individuals. To further bolster our sales operations, SMI collaborates with 5 representatives across Germany, while international sales are facilitated by independent partners.

Our core competency lies in developing innovative handling solutions for various goods. With a primary focus on vacuum lifting technology, we offer an extensive range of products under our renowned brands - smilift and smigrip. These encompass a comprehensive selection of devices designed to transport loads ranging from small to heavy duty.

Having served the international market for more than three decades, our clientele spans a broad spectrum of industries and trades. Recognizing the diverse requirements of different sectors, we also provide products in stainless steel design and cater to Ex-areas. Alongside standard products like sacks, boxes, buckets, barrels, and canisters, we specialize in crafting custom solutions for handling specialized items such as cheese and butter blocks, EURO pallets and industrial pallets, rubber bales, batteries, coils and spools, car roofs, discs, cans, rims (aluminium and steel), and various plates.
