OPET Lubricants, formerly known as ROM, was founded in 1966. Over the years, the company has proven to be an adaptable and evolving player in the industry. In 1996, Opet Petrolcülük A.Ş., one of the leading oil and gas distribution companies, acquired the company, followed by its acquisition by KOÇ Holding, Turkey's only Fortune 500 company, in 2002.

KOÇ Holding is a conglomerate that encompasses various industrial giants, including Tüpraş, Ford Otosan, Tofaş-Fiat, and Arçelik-Beko. As a global player in multiple industries, KOÇ Holding holds a significant position in Turkey's export market, contributing 10% to the country's total exports and an impressive 43% to the automotive industry's exports.

Opet Petrolcülük A.Ş., under its steady growth in the past decade, engages in retail sales, commercial and industrial fuels, lubricants, storage, and international trade. With a focus on expanding its market share and network of stations, Opet Petrolcülük operates 1,615 stations, including both Opet and Sunpet brands.

As for Opet Lubricants, the company collaborates with leading automotive manufacturers, serving as an essential solution partner. It provides a range of solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Ford Otosan, Case & New Holland, Fiat, and Otokar. Opet Lubricants offers first-fill and after-sales lubricants, including genuine lubricants like FMY for Ford Otosan, Agromega, Megatran, and Agrofriz for Case & New Holland, Spectra for Otokar, and Opar Olio for Fiat.
