FENTO KNEE PROTECTION

FENTO KNEE PROTECTION, founded by Geert Kaal and René van Rijn, is a company in the knee protection industry. The founders developed FENTOs knee protectors after a personal experience with chronic knee complaints.

In the year 2000, René van Rijn, a sailmaker, sought medical help for his knee problems. He was referred to Geert Kaal, a knee and back specialist physiotherapist. René's knee problems improved after several treatments, but returned after three months, hindering his ability to work on his knees. Despite trying various knee protectors, none provided the necessary relief for his knee and back problems. This prompted René to approach Geert with a request to develop a knee protector that would enable him to continue working.
