In 2021, DLR Elastomer Engineering Ltd was formed through the successful acquisition and relocation of Elastomer Engineering Ltd into Dexine Leyland Rubber Technology Ltd (DLRT) at our Leyland Facility. DLRT was the result of a merger between Leyland Rubber Components and Dexine Rubber Technologies, both of which have over 100 years of history as rubber manufacturers.

Today, DLR Elastomer is a highly experienced and reliable company that specializes in rubber sheeting, fabrications, moulding, and casting. With our extensive materials science and manufacturing expertise from various fields, we are able to create customized elastomeric products.

We have a range of presses that provide flexibility, allowing us to choose the most suitable curing method for our products. This includes injection, transfer, compression moulding, and rotocuring.

Over the years, we have invested in extensive research and development, refining our processes to offer successful and cost-effective rubber manufacturing services. We take pride in being considered experts in the design, development, and manufacture of specialized polymer products.

Prior to the formation of DLRT, Dexine had a rich history dating back to 1895 and had even served as a key supplier to the War Office. Leyland Rubber Components was a consolidation of several rubber manufacturing businesses in the North-West, including The Leyland & Birmingham Rubber Co Ltd.

Elastomer Engineering, established in 1966, was a UK-based company specializing in rubber moulding and rubber-to-substrate bonding.
