DHJ WEISTERS LTD is a leading textile manufacturer, operating in the modern and dynamic industry. Established in 1960, our company has continuously evolved and embraced advancements in technology to stay at the forefront of the market. We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment and have brought various processes in-house, which were previously outsourced.

One notable achievement was being the first company in the UK to purchase a computerized card cutting machine, significantly reducing lead times for new designs. Over the past 25 years, DHJ WEISTERS has also expanded its capabilities through strategic acquisitions. We acquired a specialist school tie weaver, Smith Hartley of Skipton, and a dye-printer for neckwear, Brocklehurst Fabrics. Additionally, we have added expertise in manufacturing ties, bows, cummerbunds, waistcoats, and scarves through the acquisitions of Josiah Smales, James Arnold, and Hills Scarves, respectively. We also expanded into other areas such as bridal fabrics (Driver Bros), overprinting (Tycrest), and more.

Our product range includes a variety of high-quality items. We offer custom-designed bow ties, both ready-tied and self-tied, catering to individual preferences. Being the leading weaver of bespoke neckwear fabrics in the UK, we produce tie fabrics that exude elegance and style. For personalized accessories, we provide printed scarves, squares, and hankies designed to specification. Additionally, we specialize in the cut, make, and trim (CMT) of ties, bow ties, and other accessories. Furthermore, we are renowned for our bridal fabrics and lace, including materials used in the creation of wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Our expertise also extends to weaving brocade fabrics for bridal and formal wear. In the contract furnishing sector, we are recognized for our production of inherently flame-retardant drape fabrics. Lastly, we are weavers of ecclesiastical fabrics, both wide width and narrow, catering to specialized needs.
