Our primary focus is to extract and press the unique Namibian Nara Oil, derived from the Nara plants that grow naturally in the Namib Desert. This oil is traditionally harvested by the Topnaar (#Aonin) people, who venture into the desert during the harvest season to hand-pick the valuable melon-like fruit from donkey-pulled carts. The seeds are then extracted from the fruit using an age-old traditional method, a valuable heritage passed down through generations.

Laboratory tests have confirmed that the Nara oil produced by Desert Hills is 100% pure and cold-pressed, making it rich in essential Omega-6 fatty acids and vitamins. Our innovative Desert Gold cosmetic range combines this precious oil with fine African butters and aromatic oils. These formulations were created in collaboration with a professional natural skincare team, ensuring they contain high amounts of permeable Nara oil, certified organic butters, and waxes. As a result, our products help maintain the natural balance and hydration of the skin.
