Nestlé will invest 700 million UAH in the modernization of the Kharkov factory "Mivina"

The project will be implemented in two phases. Until 2021 the company plans to complete all the stages of reconstruction and to hand over the updated enterprises to operation

Nestle, one of the world's largest producers of food products, will invest 700 million UAH in the reconstruction and modernization of the Mivina factory in Kharkov.

This was reported by the General Director of Nestlé in Ukraine and Moldova Ansgar Bornemann and the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svetlichnaya during a press briefing on Tuesday in Kharkov.

"The company began preparations for the modernization of the Mivina factory in 2015. The final project plan was approved in early 2018. The main goal is to develop the factory, improve working conditions and increase the competitiveness of products," said Nestlé CEO.

According to him, the project will be implemented in two stages by transforming the existing logistics center into a production facility, with the subsequent development of all necessary infrastructure and the transfer of production lines to a new premises.

"Reconstruction will help not only to modernize the company, but also to improve production technologies.The renewal of the recipe for TM" Mivina "products, in particular the reduction of the fat content in products, will allow to meet the criteria for assessing the nutritional qualities of Nestlé (Nutrition Foundation) products, which are based on dietary recommendations of the World organization of health protection, "- said Bornemann.

The head of the Kharkov Regional State Administration in turn reported that almost half of the products produced at the Kharkov factory are exported to 17 countries in Europe and the world.

The company plans to complete all the stages of reconstruction and to hand over the updated enterprises in operation until 2021.

In an interview for Delo.Ua, the CEO of Nestlé in Ukraine, Ansgar Bornemann, said that in 2016 the company invested about 150 million UAH only in the line for the production of Artek wafers in our factory in Lviv. And the total amount of investments in 2016 was about 340 million UAH.
