Description
The Atlas HVFAA Horizontal Vertical Flame Chamber is an essential tool in the aircraft industry for accurately determining the flammability of various materials and components. Specifically designed for testing in accordance with the FAA's Aircraft Material Fire Test Handbook, this chamber meets the standards set by FAR 25.853, 25.855, and 25.1359.With a draft-free large volume chamber exceeding 0.5m3, the Atlas HVFAA ensures that oxygen depletion does not occur during tests, guaranteeing accurate results. The chamber is equipped with sliding hand ports, allowing easy access for specimen placement and removal. The regulated gas control system, along with the calibrated gas flow meter and precision needle valve adjustment, ensures precise control over the flame temperature. For added accuracy and repeatability, an optional burner flame temperature verification kit is available. To make timing of specimen events precise and convenient, the Atlas HVFAA is equipped with three digital timers that can be operated remotely. Additionally, an ASTM D5025 Bunsen burner with remote positioning allows flexibility in flame placement. The chamber features a tempered glass sliding window for easy observation and an interior inspection light for enhanced visibility during tests. A flame height gauge is included to monitor the flame size accurately. To maintain a safe testing environment, the Atlas HVFAA is equipped with a high temperature exhaust blower with variable speed control. This ensures proper ventilation and temperature regulation within the chamber. For quality assurance, an ASTM D5207 flame confirmation kit is provided, allowing users to verify the consistency and accuracy of the flame.Overall, the Atlas HVFAA Horizontal Vertical Flame Chamber is the optimal instrument for conducting repeatable FAA flammability tests in the aircraft industry. Its advanced features and precise control make it a reliable tool for assessing the fire safety of cabin and cargo compartment materials.
