Lödige laboratory mixers, available in different sizes (L1, L5, L10, L20, L50), are designed specifically for the processing needs of various industries. With drum volumes ranging from 1 to 50 liters, these mixers offer efficient and effective mixing capabilities.The unique design of these mixers includes ploughshare shovels arranged in a special configuration on a mixing shaft, within a horizontal and cylindrical drum. These shovels closely rotate against the drum wall, ensuring proper mixing. The peripheral speed and geometric form of the shovels are carefully coordinated to move the mixture outwards against the centrifugal force, while also driving it in an axial direction. This continuous movement ensures that all the product is thoroughly mixed, even at high throughputs and short residence times, until it is discharged through the outlet.Lödige ploughshare mixers are designed to adapt to individual applications and allow for speed adjustment. This versatility makes them suitable for a wide range of uses, whether it be for processing powdery, grainy, fibrous bulk solids or pumpable products. To enhance mixing efficiency, choppers can be optionally installed in the mixing drum. These choppers increase turbulence during the mixing process, further promoting homogeneity and uniformity in the final product.
