Basic information
The SRRC, or State Radio Regulation Committee, is an integral department in China's radio industry. It is also known as the National Radio Management Committee. In 1998, the National Radio Monitoring Center and the National Radio Spectrum Management Center merged to establish the National Radio Monitoring Center of China.
To ensure the efficient use of radio frequencies, the Chinese government introduced specific frequency ranges for different types of radio transmitting equipment in 1999. It's important to note that not all frequencies can be legally used in China. Therefore, any radio transmitting equipment being sold or used in China must comply with these regulations and operate within designated frequencies.
Applicants seeking to sell or use radio transmitting equipment in China must obtain various certifications. This includes radio type approval certification, which is commonly known as SRRC certification or SRMC certification. Additionally, they may also be required to obtain China Compulsory Certification (CCC) and/or network access license (MII) approval. It is essential for applicants to adhere to the specified scope of certain radio transmitting equipment when applying for these certifications and licenses.
