Basic information
Polypropylene (PP) is a versatile thermoplastic copolymer widely used in various industries. It finds applications in packaging, textiles, plastic parts, and reusable containers. With a density range of 0.946 g cm3 for crystalline, PP exhibits excellent resistance to chemical solvents, bases, and acids.
In the industry, polypropylene is known for being predominantly isotactic and having an intermediate level of crystallinity compared to low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). When copolymerized with ethylene, it becomes tough and flexible, making it suitable for engineering plastic applications. It can compete with materials like ABS in terms of durability and flexibility.
Polypropylene is an economical choice and can be translucent when uncolored. However, it is not as easily made transparent as other plastics like polystyrene or acrylic.
Litchema Polypropylene, produced by LITCHEMA, UAB in Lithuania, is a copolymer random high-density polyethylene manufacturer. For further inquiries, please contact via email.
