Description
Plansee charge carriers from refractory metals are highly reliable and stable at elevated temperatures. Unlike graphite parts, they are suitable for use in high-vacuum furnaces. The use of MLR, a superior material known for its excellent resistance to deformation and ability to maintain ductility even after exposure to high temperatures, makes it ideal for mechanically loaded furnace components. At Plansee, we specialize in designing and fabricating custom furnace fixtures tailored to the specific requirements of industries such as aeronautics, glass manufacturing, Metal Injection Molding (MIM), commercial heat treatment, and various other thermal processes.
In addition to molybdenum and tungsten, we primarily use TZM and ML alloys in the production of our charge equipment. These alloys offer a remarkable tenfold increase in creep resistance compared to pure molybdenum, while still retaining exceptional ductility. This ensures that our charge systems can effectively withstand frequent temperature fluctuations from high to low.
