The C-series hydraulic industrial shock absorber, also known as COMPENSER®, is specifically designed for use in storage and retrieval machines, smaller conveyor systems, crane systems, test stands, and other applications within the light to medium mechanical engineering industry.

This hydraulic buffer offers a space-saving solution for industrial applications, thanks to its compact design. It can serve as an emergency end stop, limiting the end position in machinery. Furthermore, its low reset force enables operational push-in cycles at creep speed.

In terms of design and function, the piston rod enters the metering tube. The damping medium flows from the pressure chamber through the throttle orifices of the metering tube into the volume balance chamber. The nitrogen gas between the outer tube and the metering tube is compressed, storing the energy needed for the piston rod's reset. As the piston rod returns to its initial position, the damping medium flows back into the pressure chamber.
