The C-series hydraulic industrial shock absorber, also known as the COMPENSER®, is specifically designed for use in storage and retrieval machines, smaller conveyor systems, crane systems, and test stands in the light to medium mechanical engineering industry.

This hydraulic buffer is an ideal solution for industrial applications where space is limited, as its short design allows it to be used as an emergency end stop or limitation of end position. Additionally, its low reset force enables smooth operation even at creep speeds.

The design and function of the COMPENSER® are as follows: the piston rod enters the metering tube, and the damping medium flows from the pressure chamber through the throttle orifices of the metering tube into the volume balance chamber. The nitrogen gas between the outer tube and the metering tube is compressed and stores the energy required to reset the piston rod. When the piston rod returns to the initial position, the damping medium flows back into the pressure chamber.
