The C-series hydraulic industrial shock absorber, also known as COMPENSER®, is a versatile solution for various industries, specifically in the field of light to medium mechanical engineering. It is designed to be used in storage and retrieval machines, smaller conveyor systems, crane systems, test stands, and more.

With its compact design, the hydraulic buffer can be effectively used as an emergency end stop to limit the end position in industrial applications, saving valuable space. It also allows for operational push-in cycles at creep speed due to its low reset force.

In terms of design and function, the piston rod enters the metering tube, and the damping medium flows from the pressure chamber through the throttle orifices of the metering tube into the volume balance chamber. The nitrogen gas between the outer tube and the metering tube is compressed and stores the energy needed for the reset of the piston rod. As the piston rod returns to its initial position, the damping medium flows back into the pressure chamber.
