The PICO-DRY adsorption dryers are specifically designed to remove water vapor from compressed air, resulting in a decrease in dew point. These dryers are particularly suitable for piston compressors that have a small duty load and frequently start and stop. The adsorption process occurs under pressure in the lower column. When the compressor is not in operation, the adsorption column is depressurized, and the dry air from the buffer vessel is slowly expanded and used for regeneration.

To ensure the efficiency of the dryer, it is equipped with an aftercooler and a filter. These components work together to prevent the entry of liquid water, oil, and other large contaminants into the adsorption vessel. Additionally, the dryer features springs in the columns, which effectively immobilize the desiccant beads during operation.
