Valley View Estate (PTY) Ltd is a family-run company operating in the herb growing and production industry. Located in South Africa, we specialize in cultivating premium herbs, with a particular focus on Catnip (Nepeta Cataria).

At Valley View Estate, we are committed to delivering exceptional products to our customers. To ensure quality, we take extensive measures to guarantee that our end products are free from pesticides, herbicides, and any other plant matter. The Catnip is handpicked, meticulously sorted, and hung to dry, maximizing the oil content and overall product quality. We refrain from using any form of heating, allowing the Catnip to maintain its maximum oil content.

Our entire production process is carried out by hand. From planting to weed control, harvesting, sorting, hanging, and packaging, each step is carefully executed with precision and attention to detail. With our efficient methods, we are capable of producing up to 40 tonnes of dry product annually.

Valley View Estate is passionate about promoting biodiversity. Within our fields, we have strategically placed beehives that contribute to the pollination of Catnip flowers. This, in turn, allows us to produce honey, which we harvest and sell in the local market. Our commitment to sustainability expands into the production of Catnip hydrosol and essential oil, both of which are distilled in-house, guaranteeing the highest quality products for our customers.

In addition to Catnip, we are capable of growing other products such as Valerian under contract for interested clients. With our expertise and dedication, Valley View Estate strives to be a leading player in the herb industry, delivering superior products and supporting biodiversity in the process.
