The MULTI 3000 offers the option to enhance its functionality as a bar feeder to accommodate special profiles with the addition of the Uni-erector. This feature allows for the handling and transport of rectangular profiles and other specialized profiles to connected machine tools, ensuring a seamless reloading process. The erector can be easily activated or deactivated by adjusting a parameter, facilitating a swift transition from round material to special profiles. When deactivated, the bar feeder can load round or hexagonal material as usual. With the erector activated, the bar feeder loads special or rectangular profiles while the reloader is erecting. Square material can also be used if desired. The erector comprises two rollers that move together to erect the material during reloading, and then open again when the bar is threaded into the machine tool. The distance between the rollers can be conveniently adjusted for optimal performance.
