The Electroalfa primary distribution switchgear is designed for 7.2 and 24 kV rated voltages and can handle rated currents up to 4000 A. The S 12xx range of Electroalfa switchgear is specifically designed for primary distribution at a maximum voltage of 12 kV AC. These switchgear systems have been thoroughly tested to ensure they can handle continuous rated currents of up to 5,000 A and rated peak withstand currents of 50 kA/1s. Their robust design allows them to withstand the action of internal electric arcs, with a classification index of up to IAC AFLR 50 kA, 1s.

Similarly, the S 24xx range of Electroalfa switchgear is designed for a voltage of 24 kV AC. These switchgear systems have been tested to handle continuous rated currents of up to 2,500 A and rated peak withstand currents of 25 kA/1s.
