Tractors Land, founded by John Truckman in the early 1970s, is a well-established company operating in the agricultural machinery industry. With his background in farming and experience buying and selling used agricultural machinery, John recognized a need for a tine harrow based on his own farming experiences. This led him to design and manufacture cultivation equipment, which became locally known as the Tractors Land.

The demand for the tine harrow grew rapidly through word of mouth, prompting the expansion of the business beyond the small blacksmiths shop. In 1973, John took the initiative to build a larger depot, which still serves as the company's headquarters to this day.

In pursuit of further growth, Tractors Land ventured into becoming a sub-dealer for tractors in 1974. Given John's familiarity with Ford tractors from his family's farm, it was a natural fit to start selling new tractors. Despite being a relatively new player in the African market, Tractors Land's decision to partner with a premium brand was well-received by local customers and staff.

The company's success can be attributed not only to the excellent build quality of their machinery, but also their strong focus on driver comfort. This commitment to providing reliable and comfortable agricultural equipment has garnered great approval within the industry.
