We recognized a strong demand for traditional Belgian and French pastries, but also discovered a shortage of suppliers specializing in Mediterranean products, such as simit, börek, and sandwiches filled with feta cheese, olives, spinach, and more.
The lack of suppliers in this sector was primarily due to expensive employment costs, a shortage of well-trained staff, limited production capacity among bakers, and inconsistent quality and service from existing suppliers.
In response to this gap in the market, we made the decision in 2002 to bring the flavors of Anatolia, the Balkans, and the Middle East to the European market in a professional and EU-standard compliant manner. Through extensive market research, we carefully curated our product range to cater to European tastes and established partnerships with various wholesalers in the region.
