Our machines are compatible with both non-dressable CBN grinding tools and dressable grinding tools from top manufacturers in the industry. The dominant type of dressable grinding tools used are vitrified bond aluminium oxide tools. However, for grinding steel, sintered aluminium oxide tools are preferred due to their resilience and grinding capability. Normal aluminium oxide tools can also be used for processing gray cast-iron.

To ensure precise profiling of the grinding tools, our machines are equipped with a machine-integrated CNC dressing unit. This unit utilizes a diamond-plated, rotating dressing tool to profile the wheel according to the specific gear parameters. By selecting the appropriate technological dressing parameters, the grinding tool can be conditioned specifically for rough or finish grinding.

To maintain the form consistency and cutting capacity of the grinding wheel, the wheel undergoes repeated dressings at pre-defined stock removal rates. This ensures optimal performance throughout the grinding process. Additionally, our machines are equipped with an automatic balancing feature that ensures smoother turning for larger grinding tools, resulting in high-quality gears.
