MDX Biotechnik is a small, innovative company based in Germany that operates in the biotechnology industry. Our team, consisting of highly-motivated and experienced professionals, specializes in the design, production, development, and optimization of agitation bioreactors, packed bed bioreactors, and laboratory and peristaltic pumps.

At MDX, we constantly strive to introduce new and cutting-edge products to the market. One of our notable innovations is the MultiFerm 12-fold cell culture reactor, which is a packed bed bioreactor specifically designed for the parallel cultivation of adherent cells. This reactor has proven effective in the cultivation of primary cells and the mass production of monoclonal antibodies. The development of this multiple packed bed bioreactor was a result of collaborative efforts with universities and other companies, as part of the BIOKATALYSE2021 project initiated by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research.

Another significant product from MDX is the 3D fluidised bed reactor, which was developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Hamburg. This reactor is tailored for use in the 3D cultivation of adherent cells and offers versatility by utilizing various carrier materials. It finds applications in medical technology and research fields, such as the cultivation of liver cells, chondrocytes, and endothelial cells for transplantation purposes.
