These devices are positioned between a pipe fitting (e.g., elbow, reduction) and a flow measurement element. By using a flow straightener and conditioner, it is possible to reduce the upstream straight lengths and improve measurement accuracy in flow measurement applications, while adhering to the distances specified in the standard.
